GIVING BACK TO THE COMMUNITY
Port St. Lucie Arts League was happy to announce the establishment of an artfund to support young children who love to create art. The scholarship would provide children with the opportunity to attend an art class or art camp to further develop their artistic talents. The scholarship was made possible by a generous donation from Lattitude-88, Inc. (formerly Patriot Productions) & the Port Saint Lucie Arts & Crafts Expo.
In 2019, PSLAL was excited to connect with Windmill Point Elementary School (WMPE) to help support their afterschool arts program which ended early March 2020 and to provide a few aspiring artists the opportunity to attend a summer art class. Due to Covid in the spring of 2020, the afterschool art program was canceled and all public art classes were canceled.
In early 2021, PSLAL reconnected with Windmill Point Elementary School and worked together to find another way to support the arts & art education for students at WMPE.
In the spring of 2022, an Art & Music evening will be held:
A Talent Show and School-wide Art Exhibition
PSLAL is happy to support this school-wide event with a Donation of $500.00
to help WMPE purchase art supplies for art projects for an art exhibition - Projects for Art will consist of One-, Two-, and Three-Dimensional Art, displayed by Style, Grade Level, and Dimensional Focus and materials for the Set Design.
